Subject: He was a good man....

My Dad-in-law passed away today. He was found dead in his appartment. He was 67 years old and had had heart sugery many times.

He lived a full life. Was a heavy smoker until the end. Didn't care much about the way he was supposed to take his medication, he took them as he pleased. He struggled with his heart problems for 25 years. Each year that passed, he was told he had 6 months, 9 months (etc.) to live, but still, he lived on.

He got to know all his grandchildren, even accepted my children as his own grandchildren, even though Andre and I didn't have any children together.

I loved him like I love my own father. I will miss him dearly, as will all the people who have gotten to know him, and who's lives were touched by his caring ways.

Please say a Prayer for his family and may your own be kept safe.

I know, from your own forum posts, that you've come through many struggles. That makes me certain you have the strength deep down in your belly that'll get you and your family through this one, too. (Sappy, I know... but it's ME... can we expect anything else??)
