Ron, Tesoro is the way to go in an old house site like that. IMO... I had an XLT and hunted this old house site that now has a church on it.After ten or fifteen minutes and nothing to show for it, I switched to my Cutlass and wahlah!! I started finding wheat pennies, mercury dimes and even a Barber dime in the same place that I just hunted with the XLT. I was using the factory pre-sets on the XLT.
I have 5 Tesoros and two Fishers(CZ7a & 1266a).I find coins at ten inches when there's not a lot of trash by digging the faint signals.
You will still dig big pieces of rusty iron but at least you will be getting them up so you won't find them the next time. I use the Bandido II Umax almost all the time now..It's light and hard to beat !!!.IMO........Glenn......
