Subject: Road Trip...

Mixed some business with pleasure up in the Richmond, Va. area last weekend. Got lost and stumbled across this 1920's former school and park. The park must have held at least 40 acres of old growth trees. It had an old baseball field and sidewalks to nowhere crisscrossing the park. The school was similar to a school I hunted to death in Eau Gallie Fla, when I used to live there. This school was hunted beyond belief. Never had this happen before. I actually found someone else's dropped dug Wheat laying on the ground. I am not a believer that any one place is "hunted out" but I'm gonna tip my hat to those boys up there. Found the usual clad (thanks boys for the zincs.) Managed to dig one Wheat. An excellent 1950 found in thrown dirt during the course of sidewalk construction. Then on one of the sidewalks to nowhere dug this sweet whisper. Pulled out a 1919 Wheat no less than seven, no more than nine in. down. Overall good experience, the site still has alot to give up. HH to all...Wheat...
