Hi Art & Shelley, and welcome to the forum..Never used a DFX but I heard that's a great machine.. Little John's partner uses a Bounty Hunter, maybe she can give Shelley some tips if she needs them. As far as the beach goes, I don't think it makes much difference which one you go to, except I heard that Myrtle Beach gets hunted a lot. I don't think it matters what time of day either but I would think early or late when it gets hot. I usually go late in the afternoon because it's getting cooler and the people start leaving then. I don't hunt much in the wet stuff, I just stay up in the dry sand mostly. Every now abd then I'll try the wet. If I get too many false signals, I'll move back up to the dry again. I use a B2Umax and it doesn't work too well in the wet stuff. I have a Fisher CZ7a that works great in the wet stuff but it weighs nearly 4 lbs. Can't swing that thing very long. Tennis elbow starts killing me after about an hour.
Where are you located?? I see you hunt parks and schools, don't forget old house sites. They are good places to hunt also....................HH'ing..................Glenn......
