Have you hunted the battle of Camden site?? The wife and I were riding around today and ended up over your way. I went to a couple places you mentioned to see if you were there but you weren't so we rode out to the battle of Camden site.
From the map it shows the battle site across the road from where the monument is. We rode around the whole block from the Lorick Horton Rd. to Vaughns Mill Pond Rd. to Sunny Hill Rd. and saw some graves in the woods by the road across and a little past the Barfield Cemetery. We were taking some pictures of the stones and a guy pulled up and asked us if everything was alright. When I told him we were just taking pictures, he started telling us all about the cemetery and the graves that were moved across the road to the Barfield cemetery, and more graves on over in the woods but today was not a good day to go looking(it was raining then) and mentioned that the area was part of the Camden battlefield. He told us he leased the land, for hunting I presume, so I guess he thought we were looking for deer or rabbits or something. And he was really a nice guy!! Low and behold, I let him drive off and didn't even ask him if we could detect there sometime. I don't know what I was thinking.. He must live around there pretty close. He was driving a champaign colored Chevy Extended cab pick-up.
We weren't detecting today just riding around, I recon that's why my head wasn't working!!! I was just wondering if there was a possibility to hunt there.........Glenn...
