I know what you mean Wheat, haven't had much time (or desire) to get out lately either. I had a guy stop where I was detecting a couple days ago and asked if I would help him find two rings he lost a good many years ago in his dad's pond. Now the pond is almost dry and the whole place is up for sale so he was hopeing to find the rings before it sold. Well I met him there and he took me to the pond where the rings are supposed to be. Lo & behold, the weeds were about two feet over my head and impossible for me to swing the coil. I tried for three hours but couldn't find them. I told him to have someone bush hog all around where he thinks they are and I would come back and hopefully find them for him. He is a bottle collector and said he can get me in to a bunch of old places to detect, and his dad's place(Greenhall Plantation) was started in 1860 and finished after the Civil War and I could detect it also. Hope he's not full of you know what!!!
Do you hunt on James Island anywhere? I have been there a couple times and been afraid to detect. I have some info on that area but don't know how to use it...................
........HH'ing.............Glenn.............
P.S...Congrats on the wheatie!!! Do you know what type bullets these are? They are about 3/8 in across. They all have the spot on them that looks like they were molded..
