Are you trying to find a John Deere to restore as a hobby or do you plan to use it for farming? Last year on my way out west I stopped at the John Deere Pavillion, which is a museum in the Quad Cities area (Iowa). It was a very worthwhile visit. Some of those tractors are huge (and expensive).I enjoy going to old machinery shows, especially watching the Parade of the Engines. One of my favorite tractors is the Rumley. No detecting here today, too hot.It will be like this all next week.I might try to go early in the morning and beat the heat.
