Glenn,

Here's what my good friend, Pete Eles had to say about his first time out with his new X5......post taken from the Shadow forum.....mine arrives tomorrow and I've got a "hammered-hunted-out" CS camp I'm headed to Sat.!\
=======================================
Well I'd read about and heard all about this new machine the X5. To be honest I told my dealer friend it sounded like a lot of hype to me.Made at fisher industries? Had to be a make over on a 1270x and that was it nothing more not knocking the 1270 its pretty good too but for relic hunting I needed more.I was kidding him yeah sure it will, uh huh yeah right.Now Im here to tell you man was I wrong!Ive relic hunted for 18 yrs and I'll tell you its the best detector Ive ever used. Its awsome. We'd been waiting to get these detectors for a while now and wanted to give them a trial test at this pounded camp I know about. Its been hunted extremely hard for 15 years by every make and model you can think of yes even the mighty explorer's too.Me and another guy used them in there and neither one of us could dig a single button with those things.Its was getting to where we didnt even want to go back to the camp. Its hunted to death and over with.

Armed with the new units 4 of us were using them and for me it was the very 1st time. I got it right out of the box put it together and had maybe 2 warmup swings just to hear what it sounded like. Well we dug 22 buttons yesterday between us. I got 8, next guy got 6, next guy got 3, the next guy 3 then the other guy with a 1270 got 2 and one with a 1236 got 0. Here are my finds from the well hunted out camp. Last time there I got 1 button with another high powered machine.Yesterday I only dug 1 piece of iron with it. A large spike sounded good so I dug it but that was it.This machine is in one word awsome but it should come with a warning however. You better wear gloves or you will get blisters from digging way too deep,have to chop way too many roots and dig way too many positive signals with it. There were times when we made comments like this thing digs stuff too deep sometimes. It will wear your ass out.I dug a few buttons yesterday that were deeper than any Ive ever dug in all my years of relic hunting. It was unreal. Man I love this detector.The camp? oh I will be returning to it you can bet on that. I believe I can get another 100 buttons out of it by years end easy. Its worth every penny thanks Troy. Guys I had fun. Lets do it again as soon as these blisters on my hands heal!
