Subject: Golden Umax got me thinking

Golden Umax got me thinking after I found 4 musket balls and a trigger guard made out of brass from the REV. War in my front yard.I just bought Golden Umax .Folks this is a true story.
I got golden out and headed near the fence where I had found a few clad coin with my whites 4000d that has a 12 inch coil on it.
With the golden running in DISC. mode ping a penny,bang brass trigger guard ,then 4 musket balls,6 to 7 inches deep. I could not beleave it.I have gone over this area many times with the whites.
This got me to thinking about a old house site I found a 1909 baber dime,when I got off of work today here I go!Got the golden out of the truck found the spot I found the dime.Had her set in all metals went over the same hole it let out a scream that made the hair stand on the back of my neck.Change over to disc. check it with the disc. turned all the way down.Got ever tone thinkable.Started pulling the dirt back out of the hole,checking as I went, wheaties 5 of them.Then kept going till I got to the bottom of the hole checked the dirt iron small nails.I check the hole again another hit a Rosy silver dime 1947.Check the hole again iron and a high tone dug deeper than I had with the whites out comes a small copper silver plate ring with "S" on it and more small nails.Check the hole again, middle tone dug deeper the hole getting bigger now hit a root as big as my arm.DANG!!!Back to the truck got my madax out cut through the root pull the dirt out check it.It was a 1938 D BUFFALO nickle my first. Checked and recheck the hole no more signals.Good It was getting dark.
I cannot believe that I missed all that with my whites.Why I can't figure it out,its always seem to work well.Think I'll send it in for a check up.........Got some pics of the fines try my url at the bottom
