I read a rumor that Marlena is actually Hattie Adams, they were switched when she went to Colorado, so if that turns out true, then your theory could very well be true, but unless she herself was under Stefano's control I don't see Marlena herself killing Abe, Jack, Maggie, Caroline, and Cassie in cold blood.

About Maggie being killed by someone she is friendly with, I was thinking Lucas. I read that the killer shows up at her door with a whiskey bottle... I was thinking Lucas shows up saying how he needs a drink, and Maggie invites him in to have an Alcoholics Anonymous chat with him.

But I also read that on the clip right before Abe got shot, the killer had an automatic pistol, when they did the clip of the suspects, only Rex, Tony, and Victor had autos, the other suspects had revolvers.

But I have no clue as to who could really be the killer, I'm actually trying to look at it as who definitely could not be the killer, who was with someone else when the attacks has been happening.

There is a rumor that John is under Stefano's control again and is brainwashed into killing these people, but only JER knows what will really happen, and there's no telling what sick storyline is in that man's head.
