I thought I read somewhere, that the actress who plays Sheridan in real life had a recent miscarriage, and that the show's writers did not want her to become pregnant just to loose the baby. So, her acting like she is pregnant on the show, might be too emotionally on her right now.
But, wouldn't it be funny if ole Rebecca was the mommy too be, and that is why Tabitha shows concern. Because if Julian can't possibly marry Rebecca for whatever reason we don't know yet, at least he will be stuck supporting his out of wed lock child, that would be funny and he would be getting what he deserves.
