Subject: Spiritual coast salish Native american Barbie OOAK

This doll is dressed in a cedar bark traditionally weaved dress. Cedar bark is a very traditional and spiritual part of my culture, the Coast Salish First nations. This is my second doll I've ever made, and as with the first, she grew a personality of her own the more that I worked with her.

I've named her " Sluwi' ", which means Cedar Bark. The cedar tree is the "tree of life", it's bark the bearer of life. Sluwi' is very femanine, strong, and creative. The Shawl on her back has an eagle design, for freedom, power, and stature. The cedar hat is only used in ceremonial events.

I spent well over 60 hrs on the details of this doll, and am sad to see the doll go, but it is time for a new home for her. I know that anyone from this forum would give a great home to her.
