If you hear him speak, as everyone in California has all too often over the last few months, he sounds unintelligent. This is especially disturbing because EVERYTHING he has said in the campaign has been rehearsed many times over. He has long been known as a chauvinist, always treating women (i.e. his co-stars and the more than a dozen women who have come out recently about his sexual harrassment -- NOT a new issue, by the way) poorly. Saying Maria will keep him in line is ridiculous -- it didn'y work with any of the other Kennedy women. His father (or perhaps grandfather, I don't remember which) was a high-ranking Nazi official, and Arnold speaks often of the "family values" he learned as a child. While I personally don't think much of the fact that almost 30 years ago, he apparently said he admired Hitler, I do think his values system is consistent with that of the homogeneous Anti-Semitic Eastern European culture.

And, for the record, I don't think Davis' inability to keep his popularity is anywhere close to grounds for recall, even with his "gross mismanagement" record. Would I have reelected him? Probably not. But I only voted "No" on the recall because "HELL NO!" wasn't an option.
