I definitely agree that religion is something better suited to be practiced and promoted in a church or by the parents of the children in their own home. At the same time, I think people are WAY too sensitive on entirely too many issues. From a legal standpoint, I think the decision is generally well founded. However, where do you draw the line? What's next? There are several things that reference God. I believe our president did so during his swearing in. What about our currency? Will coins and bills soon be printed without "In God We Trust" though atheists seem to have no trouble using it. It seems like everyday someone or a group of someones are upset about something that was said or done said group feels is offensive. Take recently the t-shirts of Abercrombia & Fitch that had the Asians in a uproar. One of them said something like, "Wong Brothers Laundry Service: Two Wongs Can Make It White!" To me, a clever little t-shirt I would have been one of the first to buy. Considering the problems of the world today, particularly post 9/11, it seems these are things that should be of little concern to anyone. But, I suppose there will always be those self-absorbed individuals that find the need to rock the boat and create turmoil over the most trivial of issues. I don't suggest anyone keep quiet at the expense of their entitled liberties simply to appease the majority that disagrees with them. Rather, I would hope that they would choose to pick fights for a more worthy, less self-serving cause. Guess in some respects, I AM an optimist. Hehe, go figure.
