There are plenty of reasons to like him. Here are a few.

He supports a woman's right to choose (and not just in the abortion sense, but many health-related concerns).

His words have serious thought behind them.

He has real plans involving health care, education, etc.

He changes his mind. THIS IS A GOOD THING! Sticking with the way things were is pigheaded and thoughtless. Everyone should constantly reevaluate their lives. I have no problem whatsoever with Kerry saying he supported the forcible removal of Saddam, but not the way things have been handled in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He understands firsthand the full impact of war. He does not have to send other people to die to feel powerful and important.

He wants to change things. Not everything is hunky-dory. You have to be willing to make an effort to improve things. If it's broke, try to fix it. Bush thinks things are good. He's making a lot of money and has all the vacation time he needs.

He promotes energy independence from foreign sources, or at least more independence.

He realizes that there is an environment.

He seeks to build consensus and recognizes that we exist in a global village. (Didn't Bush run as a consensus-builder last time??????)

And of course, he's not George Bush.
