Subject: Welcome to Weekend Perspective.

Hello, and welcome to this little segment I like to call Weekend Perspective. Catchy, huh? It's in the works, anyway. Also, I guess I'm kinda bored.

Let's reflect on this week.

-- Mike Tyson got his boxing license in Georgia. Their governor has spoken out against it after the said issuing.

In a related story, =Boxers In Motion=, other than sounding kinda adultish, sounds like a team name. We have or used to have a member named =Ali=, right? There ya go!

-- Ah, the Canadian skating pair are going to get their gold after they were so obviously robbed in Monday night's competition. The French judge was suspended by the International Skating Union as well. I believe that the medals will be presented on this coming Thursday night before the long program competition.

In a related story, FK and Bell went to face-off in =Cow & Chicken= night last night. They are both Canadian and took the gold and silver. Add that to the medal count. Petition for Acro to be an olympic sport, anyone?

-- The United States has already broken its own national record for most medals won in the Winter Games. As of Friday, 14 medals have already been won by the U.S. of A.

In a related story, last night, we broke a record for most =Poets= in an Acro Challenge room at the same time. That may be wrong, but it sounds good. We actually did have a very nice turnout. Thanks to our guests Samm-E, EmWolf, and the "other" LS for showing up. If I left any other guests out, I apologize. I probably didn't recognize you without your real nick.

-- In olympic hockey last night, Sweden stunned Canada 5-2. Russia beat Belarus 6-4, the Czechs ousted the Germans 8-2, and USA shut out Finland 6-0. It was the first shutout for the Americans since 1992, when they beat Poland 3-0.

I can't relate anything =Poety= to this story. Maybe a little hockey poem. Here it is.

*ahem*

Shred. Shred. Shred.
Slap. Slap. Slap.
Bang. Bang. Bang.

Listen. Do you hear it?
It's a whistle.
"Two minutes for interference!"
Oh man, bummer.

Power play time.
One man more for one team.
One less for another.

Pass. Pass. Pass.
Shoot.
Clank! Just missed.
Oh, a teammate picked it up.
HONK! It's good!

Much hugging and raising of arms for that team.
Much bowing of the head and drinking from the water bottle for the goalkeeper of the lesser-manned team.

Join me next week for more action maybe?

Hasta la vista. :)
