Happy Holidays, one & all (c:

After a long acro draught, it's time to get into motion again with 2002 fast upon us. Due to Flopside's inability to keep their word, we will not be back up to full steam, but there will be =PIM= activities once again.

So, what I need from each of you, past and present =poets=, is an update on your status which you can indicate me in one of three ways:

  • Leave a response message on this board.
  • Email me at the team mailbox linked to my name above.
  • Leave me an online ICQ message. (I too have that same repeating offline message problem.)

    I will be updating our website over the next week or two and will place you where you want to be. Your choices are Active, Hiatus or Retired. Active status indicates that you want to participate on a regular basis (at least once or twice a month). Hiatus status indicates that you need some time off and don't anticipate participating at all in the next month or so. Retired status means you don't have interest in participating at all. You can participate in any function at any time without changing your status; however, accurate information is helpful to me in scheduling and planning. I will also be updating my email listing for the team, so I can email this information as well, so let me know if there's any new news there as well.

    Activities are being posted as we speak, including:

  • =Poets Night Out=
    Every other Monday at 9:30pm eastern.

  • =TGIF Happy Hour
    The 4th Friday of every month at 8:00pm eastern.

  • =Ladies vs =Gents=
    Friday, January 11th at 10:30pm. Sign up now!

  • =Poetic Pairings=
    Saturday, February 9 @ 9:30pm eastern. Grab your date & sign up now!

  • Intrasquad Matches
    Though the number of teams has drastically decreased, we will begin scheduling with some of our favorite teams. Please note: Team Acro is no longer issuing performance awards, only fun awards. So, any status poet interested in joining in friendly competition will be able to sign up at any time.

    The calendar will updated throughout the year and be responsive to your desire to play. A variety of themes and activities at various times of the evening will be scheduled to incorporate everyone's needs. If you have special requests, please use one of the three methods listed above to contact me.

    If you are new to the team and do not yet have your passwords, please get with me, any other captain, or veteran player, and we can walk you through the sign up process. If your bio is not yet listed on the =Poets= section of our webpage, please get with Mugsy when she returns from Dennisland early in January.

    May this new year bring us all good health, increased prosperity, lots of love and a more peaceful world. Amen.
