Elitism is by definition exclusionary. By excluding themselves from TA, the Owls, intentionally or not, gave an "elitist" message to the TA rank and file and ultimately it was their undoing. Whether or not certain individuals should be considered elitist from the Owls isnt really relevant, just as if PIM made an elitist decision as a team it does not necessarily indict every member as an elitist.

What is the point of remaining in TA without ladder stats?(assuming TA would allow a team to remain TA without adhering to ladder stats, bylaws being what they are as Snotty mentioned) What is TA without the ladder? A chance for each team to submit players to TA sponsored events and that's about it. So really this boils down to: to follow the Owls or not to follow the Owls (like lemmings off a cliff)

LS made a reference to different acro tastes using the metaphor of steak and eggs (I think that was it... maybe it was a salad but i like eggs more than salad so i will use eggs). It appeared she was saying that because some acroers like steak and others like eggs the ladder stats are irrelevant. Maybe they are. But why doesnt that apply to scorekeeping in general? Why even keep score in a room that may include steak eaters and egg eaters? If the ladder scores are irrelevant than why go out of our way to separate ourselves from it, just don't bother to go look at the irrelevant stats.

But to make some kind of concerted effort that alienates PIM from the rest of TA I believe will hurt PIM and hurt TA.
