How 'bout not registering on the Ladder, but staying in TA?

I agree with LS that TA stats don't mean a thing, and it would be useless IMO to keep reporting games there. If PIM chooses to use the Ladder once again, I'll say right now that I refuse to re-register my name there. It's OK by me if others on the team still use it, but I want absolutely no part in it.

It seems to me that the main concern is that by not being registered on the Ladder, PIM would lose exposure to potential teams that we might enjoy playing. I could see the team losing exposure to new teams by not being listed at TA's site, but the Ladder? I don't think we would lose any exposure by dumping the Ladder part.

I think it's feasible to be listed on TA's site as a team that doesn't record stats on the Ladder - like LS hinted, it would separate those teams who'd play matches off the record and those who only want to bump their ladder rating. New teams would still see and be able to visit the team site through TA's team links. While "no TA" might mean isolation, "no Ladder" doesn't necessarily mean the same.
