Having read your post thoroughly, I'd like to respond. You said,

I also hope that that person knows that if justice is really slaughter of innocent civilian for slaughter of innocent civilian, the United States is far, far, far ahead of the score with various second and third world nations around the globe. I further hope that the above didn't sound too sanctimonious, though I suspect it
did.

When I wrote "an eye for an eye" my thought was not only to our suffering. FK, there have been hundreds and hundreds of innocent Israelis and Palestinians killed over the past years. I wasn't thinking only of the victims of Tuesday's massacre. When people are brainwashed into believing they are right, and the march off to commit heinous crimes, we all lose. The cafe bombings in Israel don't make it to these message boards on a daily basis.

Anyway, that's where my sentencing sentence came from. I suspect that it still doesn't sound any better to you.
