Subject: People are Stupid

i've been getting a bunch of feedback via email and AIM regarding "People are Stupid" i wish people would post opinions here instead of just telling me, so that there can be an argument or debate or at least see another point of view. heres what i think:

in order to understand or prove anything, you must start out with some assumptions, like the "given:" in geometry. the most basic assumption, the one that every argument can lead to, is what we call our faith. sometimes some of our assumptions are disproven through discoveries or experiments or whatever, but just because part of our assumption was wrong, doesnt mean the whole thing is. for example: a scientist theorized that the moon was a spherical entity that rotated and revolved around the earth and shined light reflected by the sun down to our surface, and that it was made of cheese. well, we know now that the moon is NOT made of cheese, but he was right about the rest of that stuff. i dont happen to agree with the whole "People are Stupid" message, i think i'm pretty smart... sometimes... :P
