Subject: PHILLIPS/SMITH FAMILY

I have a John Smith and Catherine Smith married in Hallowell 1 May 1821 by Stephen Conger. I have a copy of the marriage certificate but it does not give any information about either one of the as to where they were from or who their parents were.

I believe John and Catherine were born in the late 1700's.

They lived in Hallowell and Hillier for some time and raised 6 children, John Jr. b: 1919, Mary Ann b: 1821, Joseph b: 1823, Cornwall Smith b: 1824, Phoebe b: 1826, Benjamin b: 1827.

I have all this, John's second marriage and another 9 children but cannot find out about John and Catherine or the 2nd wife Mary Ann Dewell.

If you could do a look-up that would be great. I know John moved the family later to Murray Twp.

Thank you John and Catherine are my gr gr grandparents.

Any help with these people would be greatly appreciated.
