Subject: SPRINGTHORPE Family - Heanor, Derbyshire

I have recently learned that John SPRINGTHORPE, first child of William SPRINGTHORPE and Sarah HUNT SPRINGTHORPE of Heanor, Derbyshire, is listed in the 1881 British Census as living at 49 Manor Park, Lee, Kent. His wife's name is Hannah Maria and their children were Florence M. (b.1860 in Stafford); Albert H. (b. 1864 in Sydney, Australia); Edith L. (b. 1865 in Sydney, Australia); Charles O. (b. 1868 in Sydney, Australia); and Kate (b. 1872 in Sydney, Australia). The family was back in England by the time of the 1881 Census.
