Subject: Looking for Ellers

I am researching my line of Eller. My GrGrGrandfather Joseph Eller bought land In Jefferson Co. Il in 1855. He was borned in Al or Nc. in 1816 . Died in 1872.He married Sarah Evans Borned in TN 1825 to Willis Evans.The lived in Idlewood just outside of Mount Vernon, Il until they died. Joseph and Sarah Raised 10 children and took in two Bishop children after their father died in 1879.

THe Bishop children were Emily and Jesse children of Wm.Bishop.
I have hit a brick wall. My father is 89 and can't help. his cousin living in Fl. (that is 89) didn't even know who Joseph was.
We found in the1860 census that he had a Catherine 67 yr.old staying with him and we believe it to be his mother because in 1850 census he is listed with her

We have search every where for his father and only hit dead ends. would love any help we can get.
