I am trying to find information about my grandfather the only information I have is as follows:
George Highman Barnard
born: 16 May 1907 Iwerne Minister Dorset
married: 9 May 1931 Newark New Jersey USA
spouse: Florence Edna Jones
He worked for White Star and Curnard shipping and was a Merchant Seaman in world war 2. He commuted alot between England and America and spent time in New York.
I have been told Highman was his mothers maiden name.
