Subject: FORBES FINLAND DANZIG

Hello !

Are all Danzig Forbesis relatives ? Caspar Forbus who died in 1682 in Ii, Finland, came from Danzig and he was born either in Aberdeen or in Danzig possibly in 1573 or 1576, but it can also be later too ? (he lived a long life !!!) ? (mormon information, not secure).

I know that university of Aberdeen has a project about Scottish who have moved to baltic area from 1580, but that does not help if this Caspar was already born.

This Caspars father was possibly Hans (John ?) Forbes in Aberdeen or in Danzig

This Caspar Forbus has a lot of famous descendants and (many remarkable) in Finland specially among many well-educated priest and other families, who have had major impact to Finnish nationaa movement especially during 19 th century.

I wrote to you because you have connection to Danzig-Willy, and Iam really interested if there is clear connection between all Danzig Forbesis ?

Do you for instance have theese books: Taylers: House of Forbes (1937) or Lumsden: Genealogy of the family of Forbes....1580, Inverness 1819 and reprinted 1883 in Inverness.

Eager to get information.

Yours Mikko Snellman (religion teacher)
