Is it really so wrong
that one of nature's mammals
kills a human being?
Let's stop and think
if only for a moment:
we feel the need to control
to protect our space;
we freely kill wildlife infringing
upon our claim to the world
so if we infringe upon their space
why can't they in turn
defend their own territory,
their home, if they feel threatened?
We claim to believe in justice
so it seems a simple thing to understand:
we are all a part of nature,
nature is a part of us
so if we wantonly, unjustly destroy,
inexorable laws of our physical order
state that over time
we must destroy ourselves:
physicists call it entropy,
others, recycling.
