This poem is a little late but when I tried to enter it a week or so ago I ran into a problem.
Anyway, this poem is about the very dramatic rescue of PFC Jessica Lynch. I understand her
hometown calls her Jessi and that's the reason for the name.
In the desert, men quietly gather
Their mission is known.
Hey Jessi, don't despair, we're on the way.
Determined men gather their arms
Their mission begins.
Hey Jessi, don't despair, we're on the way.
In the desert men of the Stars and Stripes
Move with a purpose toward their goal.
Hey Jessi, don't despair, we're on the way.
A small form, a wisp of a girl
Lies in pain, her future unknown.
Hey Jesi, don't despair, we're on the way.
Men of the Stars and Stripes
Emerge from the darkness rescuing Jessi.
Hey Jessi, don't despair, we're on the way.
Now folks in Palestine are jubilant
Their Jessi has been rescued.
Hey Jessi, rest now, you're home.
