Looking through barred window,
Held there long ago.
Distant time of honour,
When king was king.
Yet some were evil.
My fairest one captive;
So I mounted steed,
Riding to her rescue.
Driven forward by love;
Lady of no compare,
Heart filled with courage.
There waiting for me.
Hills rising and falling;
Hooves pounding muddy path,
Never stopping or relenting.
Traveling to greatest battle.
Her face guiding me;
Beacon in the dark,
True angel in waiting.
Feeding this soldier's resolve.
Lightning flashing in distance,
Thunder rolling over me.
Still, I ride on,
Her distress more deafening.
As morning sun rises,
Castle looms in view.
I lower my visor,
Her scarf around neck.
Knighted sword now unsheathed,
Wilkinson shield in hand.
My stallion breathing fire,
Galloping to my destiny.
