Sally wanted shoes
That she could wear for Easter!
Hats distracted her!

AUTHOR'S NOTES: This haiku was inspired by the scene from "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown" where the Peanuts characters have come to a department store for some Easter shopping! Sally and Snoopy become interested in a display of hats along the way!

The two of them are both laughing and trying on different hats! Charlie Brown gets impatient, puts his foot down, and reminds Sally that "It's SHOES you need, not hats."
