I saw every spirit before me;
They looked without looking,
Talked without talking.
Still, I understood every glancing word.
A happiness I never knew surrounded me,
At least one I've never known while awake.
Then they asked me to fly away with them,
How could I resist such an offer which caused no pain?
Before we lifted off they told me to close my eyes,
Funny feeling for me because I thought they already were.
How can I thank these clear visions never seen in the day?
For who am I to determine what makes day or night?
When I awoke before waking I was flying with angels,
No night was so light as to be soaring with them.
Christmas forever was where they brought this child,
To live in merry eternity for the rest of my existence.
