Your poem actually brings back memories of visits to my grandparents in Northeast Texas. They didn't have indoor plumbing until 1966. So that means to answer the call of nature you had to visit the outhouse regardless of the weather.
And you know whenever I visited them in the summer I always got the room that was closest to the outside. Was that a message to me? I wonder. :)
