Some are fires blazing up my spine,
Lighting down on brain's launching pad.
Others sear a lonely hole in my heart;
You know the kind, they leave nothing behind.

Of course I've seen some of them too.
Eyes bleeding blood so clear,
You'd swear it was just water.
Instead, I viewed drops of burning hell.

Still, these bad boys do have sisters.
Those beautiful ones that soothe my spirit;
With caresses that make love come true,
The only fear is that it won't continue.

So come travel life with me,
We'll pack pain in the backseat.
It may kick and cry at times,
Yet we both know it was never our baby.
