As I was putting gas into the car I happened to look across the street and saw a young blonde woman getting into her car. She walked with such confidence that it gave me the idea for this poem.

On a cold blustery day
When winter's icy grip
Seemed to rule the day
I saw her.
Blonde, hair, red sweater.
She was an exclamation mark
On a drab wintry day.
She was a dash of color
On a day that was without.
Blonde hair.
Red sweater.
Life that cast a spell
Upon the wintry blast.
A hint of spring.
