I know that "Dark Place" all too well. For years and years I dwelled there, wasn't able to remove myself from it. I was too terrified. But over the years, I've learned how to deal with everything that I was forced to endure all my childhood and most of my teenage years (until I was 18). I'm 22 now. But I know that place, and I've written about it, I've raged about it in writing, I've filled journals and journals about it - I've just never had the courage to share it. I'm glad you have the courage to share it for all of us who can not. You're a brave person and I admire that. It's something I wish I could have for myself. It's a slow process, and it hurts a lot sometimes, but when I meet (read in this case) people like yourself who are so strong, it encourages me that I will, too, reach that some day. Thank you so much for sharing this.
