Do I know you?
Do you remember me?
What about that man
Far across the sea?
Are we connected by the roots
Of our ancestry?

Do you know the paths
In which I have chosen?
Or knew the deliquent promises
That I have sadly broken?
Though you and I, directly,
Have never orally spoken.

In this fast-paced world,
Every soul touches.
In the streets that are curled,
Each breath my heart clutches.
Through the whispers that are hurled,
Our relations are on crutches.

So when a fellow's walking by
And you hear his faint breath,
Don't hesitate to catch his eye
Or remember him near your death.
For he's a man who might have known
The secrets beneath your breast.
