WHEN MY SEASON ENDS
When my season ends, will I set like the sun?
Or, rage in a battle I know cannot be won?
Will my breathing cease as my heart drifts to sleep?
When my season ends, will anyone dare weep?
When my season ends, will I dissapear into a dream?
Will my lungs shatter as I let out that final scream?
Will Life forget me around its next bend?
I will never know, until my season ends.
Will you remember me as I remembered you?
Will I live on despite all that I've been through?
Will Life consider me as just a forgotten trend?
I shall never know, until my season ends.
Now, here it is, the end has come...in my heart, I feel it.
The dying leaves, the numbing wind...all of whice, reveal it.
And when I leave you all behind, will memories astound me?
As I wave my last goodbye, I know, my season's end has found me.

the end of the carnival season, and
a transition of life itself.
