"Der Anteil der 18- bis 24-Jährigen, die ein Auto besitzen, hat sich im traditionell autofreundlichen Deutschland von 2001 bis 2007 von 31,6 Prozent auf 19,6 Prozent verringert. Während 2003 62 Prozent dieser Altersgruppe ein Personenwagen zur Verfügung stand, waren es 2008 nur noch 53 Prozent. Nutzten 2002 64 Prozent der 18- bis 29-Jährigen täglich das Auto, waren es 2008 nur noch 55 Prozent. Und waren 17 Prozent der Neuwagenkäufer im Jahr 1999 unter 30 Jahren, waren es 2008 nur noch 7 Prozent."
