My resarch includes the FERGUSON and OGDEN families in
the state of Queensland (QLD), Australia,
specifically:

FERGUSON side:

John FERGUSON married Margaret ("Maggie") BAIRD in
Scotland (no further info).

John and Margaret FERGUSON had at least one son -
James FERGUSON - who married widow Amanda ("Emma")
Charlotte MYERS [nee VERCOE, born approx 1856 in
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia] in Townsville, QLD, on
02 January 1880. James accidentally drowned in the Burdekin River near Charters Towers on 15 February 1910.

James (aka "Charlie") and Amanda FERGUSON had seven
children, namely:
-Charlotte Amanda FERGUSON, born 23 Mar 1880;
-Margaret Emma FERGUSON, born 25 Jan 1882;
-James Duncan FERGUSON. born 16 Nov 1884;
-Emily Agnes FERGUSON, born 16 July 1887;
-Maud ("Mona"?) Evelyn (/Eveline?) FERGUSON, born 25 Oct 1889;
-Archie George Vercoe FERGUSON, born approx Feb? 1895?
-Jessie Audrey FERGUSON, born approx 1901?

Archie George Vercoe FERGUSON married Evelyn Grace
LEMON and they had four children, namely:
-Alan James Vercoe FERGUSON, born 1923 Townsville, QLD;
-Elaine Doris FERGUSON, born 1925 Cairns, QLD;
-Merle Constance FERGUSON, born 1928 Cairns, QLD;
-Ian Neil FERGUSON, born 1930 Cairns, QLD.

OGDEN side:

Anthony OGDEN married Ann HOUSELY (HOUSLEY/HOUSLLY)
[born approx 1836]in Ecclesfield, Yorkshire, ENG in
approx 1885. They had at least one son, namely:
-Edward OGDEN, born approx Dec 1855

Edward OGDEN married Annie Eliza GILL in Yorkshire,
ENG on approx 20 Jan 1882, and after either the first
or second child, they emigrated to Australia. [NB: I
also have a photocopy of a diary written by Annie's
brother on the boat trip out to Australia in approx
1884.]

Altogether, Edward and Ann OGDEN had six children,
namely:
-Alfred Cyril OGDEN, born approx 1882;
-Mary OGDEN (believed died young);
-Edward OGDEN;
-Mabel OGDEN;
-Eunice OGDEN;
-Anthony OGDEN.

Alfred Cyril OGDEN married Henrietta ANDERSEN. Alfred
died in approx 1964. Alfred and Henrietta OGDEN had
five children, namely:
-Eunice OGDEN;
-Evelyn OGDEN;
-Raymond OGDEN;
-Dorothy Edna OGDEN;
-Alfred OGDEN.

Dorothy Edna OGDEN married Alan James Vercoe FERGUSON
[born 1923 Townsville, QLD] in approx 1943. Dorothy
died in Cairns in 1970. They had six children.

Any information on, or even possible links to the
above family, would be gratefully received. Further
detail also available.
