Subject: RICHARDS Family, South Australia or Victoria, early 1900's

I am searching for details about by great grandfather, William Richards. He had 6 sons, Ernest + Bill, (twins), Jack or John, Graham, Frederick, Frank, Pat. Ernest was my grandfather. He had two sons, Noel and Dean. Noel is my father. Ernest married Queenie Vera Noel in 1938 in Adelaide. Richards family then was Catholic and Noel family protestant. Ernest and Queenie were ostercised from the Richards family and we have very little information about Ern's brothers, Ern's brothers families or Ern's father and mother and ancestors.
It is understood that our ancestors came from Tasmania, then to Tuton (a suburb or Castlemaine, Vic). But I cannot confirm this. On by father's birth certificate Ern's place of birth was Castlemaine, Vic; but on Ern's marriage certificate his place of birth was Williamstown, Vic.

Any assistance would be appreciated
