Hello there, I am also doing research on the Heffernan family that came from Golden, Cashel in Tipperary. My ancestor was Michael Heffernan(born about 1837?)and his spouse Catherine Ryan, I know of one daughter named Ellen. This Michael had a brother named William who was in Massachusetts, New England, USA for a time. Michael also settled in the Boston area about 1873. Not sure if this is the same family? I am beginning research on this. Strangley enough there are also Butlers in the family. Michael's spouse Catherine has parents names James Ryan and Mary Butler I assume from the same area Cashel.
Hope to hear from you.

Sincerely
Ken H.
