Sue,
I am curious about the name Perry. My Father born in 1899 Liverpool emmigrated to Ballarat with his brother Tom & Father THomas Brew around 1908 to 1910. Other family members already in Ballarat in late 1800s . Young Tom enlisted and embarked ftrom Sydney with 2nd Battallion first AIF saw Gallipoli and killed in Belgium 1917 at Broodsiende after being awarded the DCM by King Geoge V. His sweetheart was an Otillie PERRY then address cnr Hill & Hummffray Streets, Ballarat, Victoria Australia. Tom worked in the nearby Fellmongery so must have walked past the little weatherboard cottage that existed at that address until demolished years ago for a Public Park. Tom wrote a Diary during that war and mentions an Allan Perry ( probably her brother ) and also Muriel & Eulalie possibly her sisters. I believe Otillie later married a Clarence Dormer and that they ran for many years a little country store at Hoyleton a tiny rural hamlet east of Balaklava in the mid north of South Australia.
My father did not talk much about his brother & war experiences probably the memories too painful. He was very close to his brother the uncle I never knew.

Whether this Perry Family is related to you I don't know but this information may be of interest in tracing them. I would be interested in any appropriate information you may have as I am researching some history on my side of the Brew Family.
Regards
