Subject: Who is Mabel?

Mabel (possibly Rogerson) was born around 1911, possibly in NSW, passed away 5/11/1996 NSW (nursing home in Wollongong area)
Mabel would always get upset, if asked about her parents etc. We don't know if she didn't know exactly where she came from or whether it just upset her too much to talk about it. She seemed to live with a number of different families when she was a child in the Mittagong area in NSW. Another theory we have heard is that her father was killed at War.
Can you help us find out?

Mabel married Thomas S HILL 1931 in Bowral NSW.
Mabels last name was listed as Rogerson on marriage certificate, but no-one seems to know where this surname came from. The story is that Thomas found the name Rogerson on a piece of paper.

Thomas S HILL b 1908 (unknown) d 1932 Mittagong NSW Australia.
Thomas's Father - Charles Leonard HILL b Tauranga NZ d 1939 Mittagong NSW.
Thomas's Mother - Theresia Keller (Kellar) b 1869 Chilton VIC d 1940 Mittagong NSW
Thomas's had a large number of siblings, including George (b1893), Charles (d1896)mainly born in Chiltern VIC

Mabel & Thomas had one daughter Doreen Jane HILL born 1932 in Mittagong NSW, before Thomas was tragically killed saving Mabel from a lightning strike to the clothes line.

Mabel married Hyram PRICE 1937 Sydney NSW

Hyram PRICE was born circa 1907 (Adamstown NSW ??)

Mabel & Hyram had 2 children - Raymond PRICE & Cecily PRICE

So if anyone knows about a Mabel, in and around the Mittagong NSW area during the years 1911-1931 could they please pass on the information.
