The McGeachin Gathering 2003 will be held on the weekend of September 5-7, 2003 at Scarsdale, Victoria

Official program at this stage is:
Friday 5th (night) a counter tea in Ballarat (possibly the RSL Club, Lyons Street) and meet a few 'cousins' or Alternative-Sound and Light show at Sovereign Hill

Saturday: 9.30-10.30am Registration, Scarsdale Hall - view family trees, photos and memorbilia, exchange stories and meet people.
Saturday: 11.30am Unveil Plaque at cemetery to commemorate 150 years of the McGeachin family in Victoria - to be placed at the foot of the gravesite.
Saturday Lunch: 12.30pm Light lunch catered by the Woady Yaloak Historical Society.
Saturday afternoon: 2pm Professional Photographer and more of the mornings activities plus tours showing where the families lived and brief history of the area, and/or examine the extensive holdings of the Woady Yaloak Historical Society.
Alternatives: visit Sovereign Hill, Eureka Stockade, Wildlife Park or Wendouree Lake and gardens.
Saturday night: 6.30pm Spit roast at Scarsdale Hall followed by Scottish entertainment, music, dancing etc. More mingling and some family members' stories.
Alternative - Sound and Light Show at Sovereign Hill

Sunday morning: 9.30am Presbyterian Church Service Access to the Societies Holdings again, exchanging of information and continue catching up with relatives.
Sunday Lunch: 12 Noon at Scarsdale Hall catered by Woady Yaloak Historical Society, continue mornings activities and tour of the cemeteries and family sites (for those who missed it on Saturday)
If people wish another counter tea in Ballarat could follow, but assume most people will head off late afternoon.


NOTE: Sound & Light Show has limited numbers-so prepaid bookings will be essential.

Morning and afternoon tea will be available on Saturday and Sunday.
