okies I haven't had the chance/time to read everyone else's posts so I hope i'm not just repeating them!

First of all, I'm not going to say I know how you feel, but I'll bet I can come pretty close. Six months ago I moved from Texas where I had lived my entire life over to freezing, dreary England. (Not to drip on anyone in England, but you have to admit, it is a huge temperature change!) So I had a major culture shock. My school runs from Kindergarden to 12th grade so I had known my friends my entire life and let me tell you it was sooooooo hard to say goodbye. I have cried sooooooooo many times since then. It is hard, I won't lie about that.

Before we got here I absolutely hated everything about England, but after I got over the whole idea a bit, I realized that things really aren't that bad. It's almost the end of the world, but not quite. You will live. (But seriously, I have had the hugest culture shock. Over here I can't say pants because they think I mean underwear!) Everything changes, but I have adjusted and I know you can too. Fortuneately now I have e-mail and get messages from "home" everyday (or almost) So you can still keep in touch. (Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, but the other is gold)

Like I said, I won't lie and it is hard to get "adjusted" (I hate that word) My only advice is to look on the bright side (how corny is that?) but it's true. Every cloud has a silver lining, and I know you'll find it. Please, don't get so depressed that you loose sight of all the good things. It is possible, but it's the worst thing that could happen. (I focused on my riding lessons, and it actually helped)

Ok I'm sure that almost none of that made sense and half of it was really stupid, but trust me, I've been there. Whatever happens, good luck to you! (And even though I don't know you extremely well, I'll always be here to talk if you want!) ~Cassie

Lord, help me to take it one day at a time...cuz I can't take more than that.
