Allrighty, you all are correct in your assesment of the situation as far as which buildings were demolished, when and how. However, at last report, nobody has had any reason to believe that there will be any more attacks, nor are there any specific places pinpointed that anyone knows of. Also, authorities are 99.9% certain that it was not an attack by another country, but rather by a group of religious terrorists, which means that it would be very difficult (if not impossible) for us to go to war over it or any such thing, because to our knowledge, we do not have a country to go to war with. Last I heard, they expected some sort of Islamic group, but again that is merely speculation. The long and short of it is, yes people did die, lots of them unfortunately, and even more to the point a lot of innocent people. The planes that were hijacked did have passengers on board when they crashed. The world trade center (twin towers) has been more or less completely demolished, and the pentagon has undergone substantial damage. Right now (5:20 east coast time) they are having a lot of trouble executing rescue groups because the building is still on fire. There is a large outcry for blood donations (although they say that right now the rush for that has been more than substantial) and all 200 or so hospitals in the New York City area are more or less devoting the whole, or a large portion of their time, to treating victims from the whole "situation." I'm sure that the entire world is being kept well informed on the goings on, but as I live not far from Washington, I'll be sure to update you all whenever I find anything out. There is a guy I know who's father flew in to the world trade center last night and they haven't heard from him since. Another girl's father actually saw the whole thing happpen from his tugboat in the harbor near by.. It's hard to believe the lengths that people will go to, to make a statement.. anyways, there you have it.
Lotsa Luv,
Chelsea
