Subject: Thanks to John Two-Hawks

I wanted to say that I have known about John Two-Hawks for almost 10 years now. I am a recipient of the Circle newsletter, and I have every CD and book of his. John, if you read these posts here, I wanted to say thanks to you. You have been a strong voice for the rights of Indians and I have learned tons from you and your website about what Indians have to put up with and what's right and wrong and all the stupid stereotypes. I know it must not be easy to stand up for your people's rights, especially when you make a living as an entertainer. But you have always stood strong. You have never sold out. No matter what anyone says, there are those of us like myself who know who you are, how real you are, and how hard you have fought for Indian equality and rights. And at the same time, your music and your books have never become angry, but are always about peace and healing. That is amazing. You are an amazing human being, and a great man Mr. Two-Hawks. Sometimes the world doesn't recognize a great man until much later, but I see it now my friend. After all these years, I am still honored to have connected with you in some small way through your writing and your incredible music. I met you one time when you performed in Colorado Springs, and it was a great honor. Perhaps someday our paths will cross again. Until then, keep the faith. Some of us out here really are listening. And some of us really do know the truth of who you are and all you have done and continue to do for Indian rights, human rights and for world peace. Again, it is an honor.

(If Mr. Two-Hawks does not read the posts here, could someone make sure he gets this? Thanks!)

Respectfully,
Jim Gibson
