November 1, 2006 - LA RIVER BLESSING THE WATER CEREMONY

* Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa and Red Nation Celebration will hold a “Blessing the Water Ceremony at the LA RIVER to bless and heal the water. The water is very sacred to the indigenous peoples of this land; water is the bloodline to Mother Earth. This is a public gathering for ceremony, family and culture.


November 3 – 5, 2006 – THREE EVENTS IN ONE LOCATION – “LA SPORTS ARENA”

* Nov 3rd - Mayor Villaraigosa Press Conference: to open Pow Wow and recognize our heritage month. Mayor Villaraigosa will honor 4 American Indian artists for their outstanding work and contributions.
* Nov 3 – 5th - Tourism, Education, Native Pride, History, Culture, Partnerships.
Red Nation Pow Wow will provide economic development in the City of Los Angeles. Los Angeles has the largest American Indian Urban population in the country.
* Nov 5th Evening - Warriors Against AIDS Benefit Concert


November 16 – 19, 2006 - RED NATION INDIGENOUS FILM FESTIVAL

* Red Nation Indigenous Film Festival held in the City of Los Angeles - The Entertainment Capitol of the World, we will be empowering our future generations and recognizing the humanness of native ancestry of Turtle Island in film, music and the arts. Four days and nights of Indigenous Films. This is our third annual Red Nation Indigenous Film Festival.
