Subject: finding who i am

This is my first visit here, sorry to vent but, I thought someone here may understand. Be proud that you know where you come from for I do not. All I do know is that my father was native american ( no def. tribal affiliation) I was adopted at birth. All my time growing to adult-hood I have learned about each nation, as I do feel a kinship. I have alway's been asked "who are my people" and been unable to give a response. I am trying to get my records opened so that maybe my birth mother was kind enough to list my father's origins. unlikely. At least then I would feel that I belong. If each person who reads this would tell a child there own or a friends a story of their ancestors, I will be happy and know that nothing can replace being told first hand who you are and where you came from. I do hope this does not offend anyone, It certainly was not meant to do so. thank you,
