As you can see by my last name I was not born on a reservation! But if wanting to be close to the Creator makes me a "wannabe" Then yes I am one. I am more Anishinabe than most Anishinabe I know that come from the rez. Being Indian is not a color, it is a way of life. And those that don't look at your heart and only see the color of your skin do not deserve to know you. We are all on the Medicine Wheel. What is done to one is done to all. What good does it do to separate us by color. The Great Spirit chooses what color you are, but he also calls you to Him. If you hear his wisper in your heart, then He wants you to hear it. I do not pretend to understand what the Creator was trying to say when He decided to make me a color. But the time has come to stop looking at each other with old eyes. It is time to forgive, and come together. The question is can we? Can we learn to stop judging people before the third great shaking of the world? If the Creator is calling you, then be a "wannabe" and listen to HIM!
